The Sweetness of His Presence

Tonight, at a men’s fellowship and prayer meeting, everyone was carrying, in their minds, the burdens and anxieties of their day. The things people said, the things people did, the things people refused to say, and the words that people tend to use to over- express themselves (angry, in other words). People tend to feel intimidated when talking about those times during their day because they don’t want their friends to think less of them. Everyone wants, and needs to feel accepted amongst their peers.

We began our meeting with worship, singing “Holy Spirit You are welcome here, come flood this place and fill the atmosphere, Your glory now is what our hearts long for, overwhelm us now with Your Presence Lord.” We continued to worship Him with other songs as well.

We worshiped in the Spirit.

We then in the Spirit, and with our understanding, began to pray for the needs of people we love and know; Our friends with cancer, or diabetes, my son and others on kidney dialysis, my sister in the hospital after having major surgery a few weeks ago, aunts and uncles having difficulties. Also, friends and family members with various other diseases like arthritis, peripheral artery disease, and other concerns as well.

But the Holy Spirit showed me something fascinating was beginning to happen. He made the Sweetness of His Presence known. Prophecy began to flow, saying;

“The Sweetness, the Sweetness of the Presence of the Holy Spirit is here, in our midst. You have been carrying something like a large iceberg on your shoulders, and the Sweetness of His Presence is causing this iceberg to melt and turn into water, and flow like water away from you. As Jesus stilled the storm on the Sea of Galilee, He said to the storm, ‘Peace, be still.’ The Lord is saying to you as the burden has been melting from your shoulders, “Peace, be still.” Receive the Sweetness of His Presence. now. Your burden is melting away.

“And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
