Last night on July 18, 2016, there was a men’s fellowship meeting in my home. Twelve men were in attendance including my son and I. I make it a point to always allow the Holy Spirit to move in any way He so desires in my life. My family and I have designated our home to be a House of Healing and a House of Prophecy as well as a fortress of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Lord has all authority here.
We men of the church are prayer warriors for one another, and for our families as well for as the church corporately. We also pray for the move of God in our church, for the manifestation of the power of God to have the preeminence in our lives, testifying of His faithfulness, and coming to know the heart of God in everything we need.
The Holy Spirit moves through everyone that desires to walk in the Spirit.
Those of us who are called to walk in the Gifts of the Spirit have to lead by example and by obedience for those who may feel unqualified, or feel like they are not good enough to do these things. Four out of the twelve men in attendance spoke out in prophecy because the Presence of the Lord was powerful and effective as we sought the Lord with our praise and worship. He inhabits our offering of praise and worship before His throne. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”, (Hebrews 11: 6)
We also prayed for healing for those of us who needed healing in our bodies, by anointing with oil and the laying on of hands, and praying for every person who needs a touch from God. We believe together that “the prayer of faith will save the sick” (James 5), and also “these signs shall follow those who believe; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16). Furthermore we adhere to the Messianic promise of Isaiah 53 that states: “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
In Scripture Jesus states: “Whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” In John 15, He shares with us that “As the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; abide (dwell in) My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide (dwell ) in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide (dwell in) His love. These things have I spoken to you, that MY joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”
First Corinthians 13: 13 states: ” now abide faith, hope and love, these three, but the greatest of these is love. The next verse in First Corinthians 14: 1 is with great emphasis that we are to “Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” Love, with the prophetic gift, along with the five-fold ministry, is “for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ
Obedience is the only means by which the Voice of the Lord will flow through your life. Therefore we have to be “confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” As you become more confident that the Lord is speaking through you, He will reward you with more of His Presence.. The Gift of Prophecy is not just a string of scriptural “slogans” strung together, Rather, the Holy Spirit is “carrying you along like you are carried down a river, where you have to trust His Voice to continue giving you the Word that is being Sent. For Jesus said: Everything that the Father has is Mine, therefore the Holy Spirit will take from Mine and show it to you.”
Trust is key for obedience. You may know someone who has promised something to you, only to disappoint you. I had an uncle many years ago who promised over and over again that he would take me fishing with him. I would wait time and again for him to fulfill what he promised. He never did take me with him. Even though he came to my parent’s house many times, and spoke that promise almost every time he came over, he never kept his promise.
God is not a man, that He would lie to you. All of God’s promises are “yes’, and “amen.”. His timing for His promises in your life is impeccable. They are carried out with utmost precision and accuracy, leading you along the path of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Therefore you need not fear any evil because His rod and His staff will comfort you. He will show you how to walk with Him in obedience, saying:to you: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My Eye. (Psalm 32: 8).
In a prophecy spoken last night in the men’s prayer meeting, the Lord is saying: “I am aligning things; I am setting things in motion that you may not be able to understand at the present time, but I have jobs for all of you in fulfillment of My purpose for your lives. I am setting things in place and preparing you for the time that is ahead. My Word that is sent to you is not returning to Me voided, or cancelled out. My purpose will carry you to the place of rich fulfillment that can only be fulfilled as you are being led by My Spirit. Therefore trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not upon your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in everything you do and He will direct your path.
The Lord is truly the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
